Authentic and Trustworthy Internet Architecture Built Upon Blockchain

Abstract Internet is the foundation of cyberspace. However, incomplete design and implementation of protocol stacks, and incomplete design of packet forwarding mechanisms could be exploited by malicious attacks. It is also difficult to identify the stealthy and low-speed malicious traffic in the complex and dynamic network. After analyzing the attack path and cross-layer interactions security of network protocols, this report will introduce an authentic and trustworthy new generation internet architecture built on blockchain, which makes the Internet more secure and trustable by improving the security of protocol interaction, packet forwarding and transport mode guided by the end-to-end principal of the Internet. A stable byzantine fault tolerant consensus mechanism will also be presented in this report, which can be used to improve the effectiveness and stability of blockchain.
